Amuz Distribution Announces Renewal with Casablanca Productions for Four Series

Adds Two New Series, Seven Total Seasons

Quebec City, Canada – January 29, 2024: Amuz Distribution’s Alex Avon, VP of Global Distribution announced that the company renewed its distribution partnership with Casablanca Productions for two years to represent six comedy/dramedy series, including two new crime dramedy series — The Clan and 5e Rang.

Renewed series are:


The Invincibles: a dramedy about 4 men, about to turn 30, who attempt to revive their younger carefree days by making a pact to all break up with their girlfriends. The series follows the men and the women in their lives as they struggle to balance their desire for freedom and need for stability. Ultimately, they all come to realize that you can’t put off being an adult forever. This series has been adopted in France and Germany.


The Phoenix a heart-warming series follows two long-time female friends, with very different temperaments, who embark on a road trip after the death of a husband, exploring the universal themes of grief and transformation.


Anyway… Award-nominated comedy series featuring the loving, stormy, and genuinely funny relationship between a mother, and her two adult children living in the big city.


Writers Block: award-winning comedy series about two hapless tv showrunners who experience creative failure for season 1 of their crime series but are obligated to create a second season. Their desire to acquire genuine criminal experiences leads to hilarity and major trouble. In June 2023 Gaumont U.S. secured the rights to produce a Spanish version of the series which will be filmed in Mexico in 2024.

Two new series added to the Amuz Distribution portfolio:

The Clan: dramedy series following Yannick Moreau, a repentant criminal, who lives hidden under a new identify in witness protection.
S1: Tipped as the future mayor of his municipality where it organizes competitions equestrian, he has everything to lose if he is ever found. The story begins when his former accomplices, who are in fact his father Don, his brothers Steve, Pascal and Mathieu, are about to be released from prison. 6 x 60 min (2015)


S2: While Jean-François thinks he is in control on his life now that he has convinced his wife Brigitte to run as mayor in his place, everything changes again when his brother Pascal traces it to Vaillancourt. The secret of his new identity is in danger and poses a serious dilemma. Should he bring out the truth or eliminate his brother Pascal? 6 x 60 (2016).

5e Rang: 2019-2023 Crime series — 5 Seasons: A woman, mother, eldest of five sisters, and devoted heir to the family farm, Marie-Luce has her world turned upside down when her husband, Guy, dies. As a matter of fact, he is found half-eaten in the pig pen. Was it a murder or an accident? This gruesome discovery pierces the tranquility of the small town of Valmont, bringing out the best and the worst in everyone.
